Wim Hof Stands in Ice for 72 minutes

Wim Hof, of the Netherlands, stands up to his neck in ice for an hour and twelve minutes, Jan. 26, 2008, outside the Rubin Museum of Art in New York, during a successful attempt to break his previous world record for immersion in an outdoor ice bath. Known as "The Iceman," Hof set the world record for full body ice contact endurance in 2004, when he immersed himself in ice for 68 minutes.

World's longest sausage

This small village in the southern province of Potenza is trying to become the latest Italian town to enter the Guinness Book of Records by producing what it hopes will be the world's longest sausage.

According to the Rotonda town official responsible for tourism, Giuseppe Bonafine, butchers are already at work producing some 60-70 meters of sausage a day. By Saturday, the sausage should measure 450 meters, thus beating the record of 413 meters held by a town in the Sardinian province of Sassari.

At 2 feet 6 inches, Ajay Kumar, an Indian comedy star, has been officially recognised as the world's smallest actor.

Hailing from Kerala, Kumar, better known by his stage name Unda Pakru, has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records after starring in 50 films over 13 years.

In 2005, when he married Gayatri, 5ft 1in-who is more than twice her husband's height.Better known by his stage name Unda Pakru, the tiny star has become a household name in his native Kerala.

8'1" (2.47 meter) Sultan Kosen from Turkey takes title of world's tallest man

A towering Turk was officially crowned the world's tallest man Thursday after his Ukrainian rival dropped out of the running by refusing to be measured.Guinness World Records said that 8 foot 1 inch (2.47 meter) Sultan Kosen, from the town of Mardin in eastern Turkey, is now officially the tallest man walking the planet. Although the previous record holder, Ukrainian Leonid Stadnyk, reportedly measured 8 feet 5.5 inches (2.57 meters), Guinness said he was stripped of his title when he declined to let anyone confirm his height.
