Amy Winehouse was born on 14 September 1983 in Enfield, London. She is an English soul, jazz and R&B singer and songwriter. Her debut album, Frank was released in 2003 and also nominated for the Mercury Prize. Winehouse is a two-time Ivor Novello Award winner; once in 2004 for her debut single Stronger than Me and again in May 2007 for the first single Rehab from her 2006 internationally acclaimed second album Back to Black. On 14 February 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist.

Minogue has established one of the longest and most successful careers as a performer in contemporary pop music, and in Europe and Australia, she has become one of her generation's most recognisable celebrities and sex symbols.

From humble beginnings, Ninette has achieved recognition as one of the most beloved and most famous celebrities and entertainers in Israel. As Ninette got famous, she was nicknamed "HaMami Ha Leumit"(Israel's Sweetheart), and was always pictured as a sweet girl.

Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Nicole Simpson was born on October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas. She is an American pop rock singer–songwriter and actress, and the younger sister of pop singer Jessica Simpson. Simpson rose to prominence in mid-2004 through the success of her number-one debut album Autobiography and the accompanying reality series The Ashlee Simpson Show.

Katie Melua

Ketevan "Katie" Melua was born on 16 September 1984 in Kutaisi, Georgian SSR. She is a British singer and musician, who was born in Georgia, but moved to Northern Ireland at the age of eight and then relocated to England at the age of 14. She is, as of 2006, the United Kingdom's biggest-selling female artist and Europe's highest selling European female artist.

In November 2003, at the age of just 19, Melua released her first album, Call Off the Search, which reached the top of the United Kingdom album charts and sold 1.2 million copies within its first five months of release.

On 2 October 2006, Melua entered the Guinness Book of Records for playing the deepest underwater concert 303 metres below sea level on Statoil's Troll A platform in the North Sea.

Tone Damli Aaberge was born on April 12, 1988. She is a Norwegian singer who finished second in Season 3 of the Idol (Norway).

Her debut album, "Bliss", was a mix of pop, jazz and country, and it sold very well, and received mixed critics.

Beyoncé Knowles was born on September 4, 1981. She is a Grammy Award-winning American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, Golden Globe Award-nominated actress, dancer, fashion designer and model. Beyoncé rose to fame as the lead singer of R&B girl group Destiny's Child, the best-selling female group of all time with over fifty million records sold.

After a series of commercially-successful releases with the group, Beyoncé released her debut solo album Dangerously in Love in 2003. The album became one of the biggest commercial successes of the year, topping the album charts in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

Beyoncé has been hailed by Entertainment Weekly as the 7th Most Entertaining Person of the Year of 2006 and she was ranked the highest musician on the list.

Victoria married the ex-Manchester United and current Real Madrid footballer and former England captain David Beckham, on July 4, 1999, with whom she has three sons.

Kelly Clarkson was born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a Grammy Award-winning American singer and actress. Clarkson made her debut under RCA Records after she won the highly-publicized first season of the television series American Idol in 2002.

"Breakaway," written by Avril Lavigne, served as the original song for The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004) and achieved considerable success across the world; it became Clarkson's third top-ten single in the U.S. and fourth top-ten single in Canada.

Mélanie Georgiades aka Diam's was born on July 25, 1980 in Cyprus. She is a French-language rap artist.

She got her breakthrough with Brut de Femme in 2003, reaching gold and spawning the top 10 single "DJ." Dans Ma Bulle is her latest released in February 2006, debuting at number one on the French album chart selling 60,000 copies in its first week.

Her trademark noise is "pum pum", which can refer to anything from sex, to aggressiveness and is included in almost every song she has composed.

Jessica Mauboy

Jessica Mauboy was born on August 4, 1989 in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. She is a schoolgirl and aspiring singer who came in as runner-up in the Network Ten reality television show Australian Idol 2006.

She auditioned for Australian Idol in Alice Springs and made it through to the Top 124 by singing Whitney Houston's hit, "I Have Nothing". Jessica was given the first "touchdown" from judge Mark Holden of season 4 Idol, after her performance of Christina Aguilera's hit, "Beautiful". On November 13, 2006, Mauboy was voted into the final 2, securing her a place in the Grand Final at the Sydney Opera House where she competed against fellow Idol and ultimate winner Damien Leith.

Mauboy recently had secured a recording contract with SonyBMG along with fellow idol, Dean Geyer.

Erika Sawajiri was born on April 8, 1986 in Tokyo. She is a Japanese actress and model. She is affiliated with Stardust Promotion, and became popular after playing a girl who suffered from an intractable disease called spinocerebellar degeneration (SCD) in the nonfiction drama "1 Litre of Tears". Her music career debut was under the name "Kaoru Amane".

Cheryl Burke

Cheryl Bautista Burke was born on May 12, 1984 in Northern California. She is a professional dancer based in New York City and best known for winning the second and third seasons of ABC's American version of Dancing with the Stars with Drew Lachey in February 2006 and Emmitt Smith in November 2006.

Cheryl Burke was nominated twice for Outstanding Choreography on the 2006 Emmy Awards, making her the youngest nominee in that category.
