Shahar Peer

Shahar Pe'er was born on May 1, 1987 in Jerusalem, Israel. She is a professional female tennis player with height as 1.71m (5' 7"). She achieved her highest WTA ranking of #15 on January 29, 2007 and became the highest ranked Israeli tennis player ever.

At the 2006 French Open, Pe'er defeated Elena Dementieva of Russia, 6-4, 7-5, but lost to Martina Hingis, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, in their fourth-round match.

At the 2007 Australian Open, Pe'er made history by becoming the first Israeli woman to reach the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam event where she was defeated by eventual champion Serena Williams 3-6, 6-2, 8-6.

She is currently participating in Wimbeldon 2007 with Sania Mirza as partner in doubles team.

As Ninette got famous, she was nicknamed "HaMami Ha Leumit"(Israel's Sweetheart), and was always pictured as a sweet girl.

Natalie Portman was born on June 9, 1981 in Jerusalem, Israel.. She is a Golden Globe-winning, Academy Award-nominated Israeli-American actress.

In the late 1990s, she was cast as Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Her recent roles include: Garden State, Closer, and V for Vendetta. For Closer, she received a Golden Globe, and was nominated for an Academy Award.

Portman is currently filming The Other Boleyn Girl, a historical drama in which she will play Anne Boleyn; Eric Bana and Scarlett Johansson will co-star in the film.

Bar Refaeli was born on June 4, 1985. She is an Israeli international supermodel with blue eyes.

Bar won the title "Model of the year" in a beauty contest in 2000, and in 2001 she won the same title again. She is the first Israeli model ever to be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine.
